Astures y Romanos 2024: Roman historical re-enactment in Astorga

Astures y Romanos is one of the most important historical re-enactment festivals in Spain. Every year Astorga goes back two thousand years in time during the last weekend of July to return to Roman times. The city is divided into two camps, the Asturs and the Romans. More than 600 reenactors set up in an Astur settlement and several Roman domus for four days during which the streets of Astorga will see skirmishes, parades and different rituals. There are also workshops for children and the invaluable collaboration of reenactors from Lugo (Spain), Braga (Portugal) and other parts of the Iberian Peninsula.
