Astorga is the capital city of the maragato stew and the cecina, and it is also home to some of the last chocolate artisans in Spain. The best restaurants in the city are Serrano and La Peseta. There are a couple of Casa Maragata restaurants, specialized in maragato stew (and by “specialized” I mean it is the only thing you can order!). If you are more into tapas, don’t miss Entrecepas, the best winery in the City.
